Actor and maker, on stage and on screen.
Rafael Jansen Darbinian is an actor and maker. He has been on stage since the age of nine and found his way to the camera through theatre. To him, film is the most beautiful art form there is: a language everyone understands. What drives him is making emotion truly felt, on stage and on camera. He completed the two-year Acting for Camera programme at Theaterschool De Trap and is now studying at Wolf'Qademy.

Off set, Rafael trains in kickboxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He is of Armenian descent, speaks the language fluently and loves delving into Armenian history and culture. Film is never far away either: he analyses films and knows the work of directors such as David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick and Andrei Tarkovsky inside out.
